reject booktok culture. go to the library and get a weird little novel you’ve never heard of in your life and read it all in 2 days like god intended.

the folks at the nature center are going to help me out with working on educational materials and a panel or event or some kind where homeowners and anyone interested can learn about native plant gardening, lawn alternatives, propagating trees and things like that, which I am REALLY hyped about

but for now i’ll just say this: growing plants should be the activity with the fewest financial barriers out of almost any activity. Trees and plants are free. Profit-seeking companies can convince us that we need to buy them, but they can’t actually put plants behind a paywall.

Like yes i know this is complex and access to space for gardening and cities don’t have enough green space and etc etc etc BUT. I would like everyone to know how to pull up a seedling they see in the sidewalk and nurture it into a tree. I think *everyone* should know that they CAN do this.
